STATISTICAL ANALYSIS in PHARMACEUTICAL,
HEALTH
and APPLIED SCIENCES RESEARCH

13 OCTOBER 2022

1. WORKSHOP SYNOPISIS

This workshop is designed to impart the knowledge and skills on both the theoretical and practical aspects of statistical analysis. The course is designed to introduce participants to the types of analysis commonly used in pharmaceutical, health and other applied sciences based research with some exposure using SPSS to researchers with diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise.

Participants will gain an appreciation for the essentials of study designs, types of data that can be used and requirements for sufficient data collection in order to maximize study effectiveness.

Facilitators will provide examples from their experience in in-vitro, in-vivo and clinical studies to illustrate best practices for implementation and overcoming problems throughout the research studies, in addition to a few selected hands-on exercises. Following the workshop, participants should have a better understanding of the conceptual basis and rationale for carrying out statistical analysis in their research projects.
